The living laboratory enables research and development in the field of hydrogen not just in the lab or as isolated demonstrators, but rather to be integrated and tested in a real technical facility. The hydrogen facility was constructed to include a renewable energy supply via photovoltaic elements and has its own hydrogen vehicle available as a consumer.
Furthermore, thanks to its unique IT/OT infrastructure, the living laboratory offers the opportunity to further develop digital quality infrastructure during operation, generate new data, integrate follow-up projects, and support knowledge transfer into industry, standardization, and regulation.
